We’ve been talking about the Venetian Christmas menu in this post. Nonna Lina has a favorite soup in winter, and for the holidays, she adds a special spice flavor. It’s called sopa coada, originally a recipe from Treviso. It’s one of the historical recipes, going back at least 500 years. In Venice, it’s not a dish offered everywhere, so for the time being, it’s a family dish, well known to every Venetian.
It may look sophisticated, but is an easy recipe!
